About Us

Originally established to support immigrant women, especially seniors, living in poverty in Quebec City, the Foundation has extended its mandate over the years, first to seniors in general and then, through innovative programming and investment, to the community at large.

Today, the QCHF is a community foundation dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of English-speaking minority communities across Quebec.  The Foundation promotes the vitality of these communities by developing their capacity to engage the philanthropic traditions and interests of the local community around health related issues.

This work strengthens the community as a whole by developing leadership and promoting networking and relationship-building within the community. The QCHF collaborates with its partner, the Community Health and Social Services Network (CHSSN), and with the Networking and Partnership Initiatives across the province to accomplish this.
